Free online date calculator

What can this date calculator do?

Use this date calculator to compare two dates, count business days, or move forward and backward by years, months, weeks, and days. It is built for everyday planning, project timelines, payroll cutoffs, billing cycles, and deadline checks where simple calendar math is not enough.

  1. 01

Choose the kind of date math you need

Use Count Days to compare two dates, Add Days to move forward, or Subtract Days to move backward from a starting date.

  2. 02

    Set dates, exclusions, or presets

Pick your dates, include or exclude the end date, skip weekends or holidays, or use quick presets for common business-day scenarios.

  3. 03

Read the breakdown and share it

View the richer breakdown, mini calendar, natural-language summary, and copy the page URL to reopen the same calculation later.

Built for business-day math, planning, and shareable calculations

Unlike basic date difference tools, this calculator can exclude selected weekdays and public holidays, show richer breakdowns, and preserve the current state in the URL so you can share the exact calculation. Add and subtract tabs also help with target dates, renewal dates, and scheduling work around weekends.

What you get

  • Compare two dates. Count total days, weeks plus days, months plus days, and decimal years with a readable summary and mini calendar.
  • Business-day filters. Exclude weekends, custom weekdays, and public holidays when you need working-day calculations instead of raw calendar days.
  • Add and subtract with presets. Jump to common offsets like 7, 30, or 90 days, move by months or years, and use next or previous business day shortcuts.
  • Shareable state. The tool stores the current tab, dates, and filters in the URL hash so the same calculation can be reopened or shared.

Frequently asked questions

Business days, date math, exclusions, and sharing.

How do I count business days between two dates?
Open Count Days, choose your start and end date, then exclude weekends or any weekdays you do not want. Turn on public holidays if you want those skipped too.
Can I include the end date in the calculation?
Yes. Enable "Include the end date in calculation (+1 day)" to count both the start and end date when that matches your use case.
Does the calculator support weekends and holiday exclusions?
Yes. You can exclude any weekday combination and optionally skip public holidays based on the current locale or holiday country.
Can I add or subtract months and years accurately?
Yes. The Add Days and Subtract Days tabs support years, months, weeks, and days. When a target month does not have the same day number, the result is normalized and the UI explains that adjustment.
Can I share a calculation with someone else?
Yes. The selected tab, dates, and filters are written into the URL hash, so copying the page URL preserves the current calculation state.
What is the difference between calendar days and business days?
Calendar days count every day on the calendar. Business days remove weekends or other excluded weekdays, and can also skip public holidays when enabled.
