    Splits & stats

A lap stopwatch ready for the track

This page loads the lap-timer preset: sport face, five-second arm, and lap sounds. Hit Start, mark laps, and read best / average / worst without leaving the browser.

Built for runs, drills, and practice sets where splits matter. Export or copy laps when the session ends. For countdown intervals, use a timer landing instead — this page is elapsed time only.

    1. 01

      Arm, start, and lap

Wait for the arm beep if enabled, press Start, then Lap on each split. Stats update live under the board.

    2. 02

      Record laps

Press Lap or L to save a split. The last three laps stay on the stage; the table shows lap time, total, Δ vs previous, Δ vs best, and a bar versus your slowest lap. Best and worst rows are highlighted; tap the tempo chart to jump to a lap.

    3. 03

      Share, display, or go fullscreen

Export CSV or share a read-only result link. Share a look with a hash URL for SEO-friendly bookmarks. Display (D) enlarges the stage and, once you have laps, shows status · time · Lap n · Best. Sleep (S) dims the page; F goes fullscreen — useful in gyms and classrooms.

Why a dedicated lap timer page

Generic stopwatch pages bury lap controls. This URL opens the track preset so searchers land on splits immediately, still on the full PomodoroTimers stopwatch.

    What you get

    • Unlimited laps & live stats Record as many splits as you need, with best, worst, average, Δ vs best, a bar versus your slowest lap, optional hundredths or milliseconds, and an interactive tempo chart.
    • Background-tab accuracy Elapsed time uses wall-clock math, so it stays correct when the browser throttles hidden tabs.
    • Up to three timers Run parallel stopwatches for different athletes or drills, each with its own laps and session. Double-click a tab to rename it.
    • Copy, CSV & share links Export lap tables for spreadsheets, share a result snapshot URL, or share your look setup with a hash link others can open without hurting SEO.
    • Embeddable widget Drop a compact iframe stopwatch on your website with custom size, colors, and skin.
    • Looks, favorites & local sessions Instant Looks, digit styles, ambient sound, and saved favorites stay on this device — along with running sessions and recent history you can compare lap by lap.

    Frequently asked questions

Shortcuts, laps, display, and sharing — quick answers.

Is a lap timer different from a stopwatch?
It is the same stopwatch tool with the track preset applied — lap sounds and sport skin focused on splits.
    Can I time multiple athletes?
Add up to three named timers from the hub. For swim sets, open the swim stopwatch landing which starts with three tabs.
Does the lap timer work in the background?
Elapsed time uses deadline math so a background tab stays accurate. Keep sound on if you rely on lap beeps.
    Can I export splits?
Yes. Copy or export CSV from the stopwatch toolbar after you finish.
