    Twenty-five-minute countdown

Classic 25-minute focus, already on the dial

This is the length most people mean by a Pomodoro: 25 minutes of single-task work. The page opens at 25:00 so you can start immediately. For automatic work/break cycles, tasks, and streaks, use the Pomodoro hub on the home page.

A standalone 25-minute countdown is useful when you only need one block — an exam section, a writing sprint, or a shared classroom clock. This timer does not auto-start a break; when 25:00 ends, you decide whether to rest or queue another 25.

    1. 01

      Start at 25:00

Press Start (or the 25-minute button). After the alarm, take a 5-minute break on the 5 minute timer page, or return home for a tracked Pomodoro cycle.

    2. 02

      Start the countdown

Press Start or Space. Progress updates on a circular dial, and the face shows when the timer ends. Pause anytime, add +1 min, queue another timer, or go fullscreen / sleep for a distraction-free display. The tab title shows remaining time while you work elsewhere.

    3. 03

Hear the alert & keep going

When time is up, stop the alarm with one tap. Start the next queued timer, review local history, export CSV, or copy a shareable link. A refresh restores an in-progress countdown on this device.

25 minutes without the full Pomodoro cockpit

The home page is a full focus app (tasks, stats, ambient sound). This page is the simple countdown people search for. Use whichever matches the moment. Links below jump to 5-minute breaks or other work lengths.

    What you get

    • Presets & quick lengths Jump to common seconds, minutes, and hours, or named timers like study and classroom. The Countdown pane still offers weekdays, times of day, and a custom datetime — holiday countdowns are on the Online Countdown tool.
    • Background-tab accuracy Countdown uses deadline math so it stays correct when the browser throttles hidden tabs.
    • Sounds, notifications & wake lock Choose alert sounds and ring length, get a desktop notification when finished, and keep the screen awake while running.
    • Fullscreen & sleep mode Go fullscreen for a large dial display, or sleep to dim the whole page so only the countdown stays visible.
    • Up-next queue While a timer is running, tap presets to queue up to three countdowns and start the next when you are ready.
    • Embed widget Drop a compact countdown on your site with custom colors, size, skin, and default duration.

    Frequently asked questions

Setting the dial, presets, alerts, and embeds — quick answers.

Is a 25 minute timer the same as the Pomodoro Technique?
It is the work interval. Pomodoro also uses short breaks, a longer break after four rounds, and a way to count sessions. This page is the 25:00 countdown; the home Pomodoro timer handles the full cycle.
Can I run several 25 minute timers in a row?
Yes. When one finishes, press Start again or queue another 25-minute preset. The home hub is better if you want session stats and automatic breaks.
Does this 25 minute timer need an account?
No. Prefs and history stay on the device. Refresh restores a running countdown on this browser.
How do I get a 5-minute break after 25 minutes of work?
Queue a 5-minute preset while the 25:00 timer runs, or open the 5 minute timer when the alarm rings. For automatic 25/5 switching, use the Pomodoro timer on the homepage.
