    Ten minutes for the pasta pot

    This pasta timer loads at 10:00 — a common package time for many shapes. Start when the pasta hits salted boiling water; taste a minute early if you like it firmer.

    Package times vary by shape and brand. Use 10:00 as the default, then shorten the dial for angel hair or lengthen for thick rigatoni. Pair with the kitchen timer for a quick rest or sauce finish after drain.

      Start pasta at 10:00

      Salt the water, add pasta, press Start. Taste before the alarm if the box says 8–9 minutes. Queue a 1-minute drain/rest if you want a second beep.

      Start the countdown

      Press Start or Space. Progress updates on a circular dial, and the face shows when the timer ends. Pause anytime, add +1 min, queue another timer, or go fullscreen / sleep for a distraction-free display. The tab title shows remaining time while you work elsewhere.

      Hear the alert & keep going

      When time is up, stop the alarm with one tap. Start the next queued timer, review local history, export CSV, or copy a shareable link. A refresh restores an in-progress countdown on this device.

    You already have a browser. This landing is the online timer with a pasta-length default and stove-side copy — same accuracy rules as every other countdown on the site.

    My box says 8 minutes — can I change it?
    Yes. Tap the dial or use presets. This page defaults to 10:00 because that length matches many dried shapes.
    Does the pasta timer work offline after load?
    The countdown runs locally in the tab. You need network to open the page; keep the tab open for the chime.
    Can I time sauce and pasta together?
    Queue a second preset while the first runs, or open a second tab. A dedicated multi-timer cooking tool may appear elsewhere on the site when published.
    Is this the same as the cooking timer?
    Same engine and similar length. Cooking is a general 10:00 kitchen page; pasta copy focuses on boil timing.
